Final workout of the week and have now completed six weeks. No significant weight loss but I guess we all know why. Mom and I will do a meat, vegges, and fruit for one week beginning Mon. Anxious to see what that does (if anything). Billy says I'll lose.... we'll see.
Good workout today with my regular elliptical followed by all my regular resistance. I did up the sets from 3 to 4 with 15 reps on some and 20 on others (Tom will be happy I did 4x20 crunches on the ab machine). My PWW was a hefty 235.4 and I was somewhat disappointed but not discouraged since I am looking and feeling better. I think I may lighten up on the weight but keep the reps high and the sets increasing. Later boys.... off Sunday .... GO JETS!!!!! (you slobs)
Remember to exclude starchy root vegetables like potatoes. Don't eat breaded and fried stuff. "Just one piece of bread, just one bowl of cereal, just a little pasta salad, just this one cookie won't hurt, etc...." These types of rationalizations are to be avoided if you want to see progress.
ReplyDeleteMaybe now that you muscles are responding, and your feeling stronger, you actually may not feel the need to lose the weight as much as you did before you started lifting weights. You can carry weight better thank most, but that is no excuse to eat crap. I missed Faith Hill tonight.... sad Lots done this weekend. Worked hard outside. Grass behind the studio is pretty high (field-ish high).....on the list for this week. I realize that some of the things that need to be dome during the later part of august is now being done, but we were just a little preoccupied during those months. Plus we've had little to no help, and with everything that we are trying to get done, its a miracle that we have as much done as we have. Kinda bothers me when i hear comments like 'what should have been done already'. trying to get the studio, house, other house, work, Debs work, the kids, not to mention running a business, and doing it all by ourselves and not having others do it (because we don't have the money to contract for all of the outside work)... We are doing the best we can. Next summer should have some normalcy to it....we are getting by this year.
ReplyDeletesorry Tom....lost my mind.
ReplyDeleteActing badly and apologizing is the story of my life. I wish I were better.
ReplyDeleteMine too .... Think we can turn over a new page? Think we're too old? I don't think we are!! Let's look for that kinder, gentler person in each of us.....deal?
